Insight seeks a compassionate Lead Nurse for our Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program located in Winston Salem, NC.
The Lead Nurse is responsible for assisting in all areas of patient care, including physicals, and necessary tests in compliance with state and federal laws, and supervising the nursing staff, including medical technicians and assistants.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following and other duties that are assigned:
- Provide for and direct the determination, maintenance, and interpretation of standards of nursing practice, and ancillary patient care practices to ensure licensed status is maintained and established procedures are followed
- Provide for and direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of the program for patients to ensure current, state-of-the-art quality care is provided
- Provide for and direct the determination of conditions, resources, and policies essential to the delivery of patient care services
- Provide for and direct the immediate supervision of all administrative personnel in these areas
- Direct all personnel in these areas to ensure appropriate levels of staff training, recruiting, corrective action, staff development
- Participate in interdisciplinary programs and overall planning
- Provide for and direct the on-going review of respective services regarding staffing, philosophy, goals, objectives, policies and procedures
- Participate in, monitor, and evaluate quality assurance activities
- Provide for and direct analysis of trends pertinent to the delivery of care services
- Interpret and communicate policies and procedures in matters related to nursing, and ancillary services to advise and coordinate programs with medical staff and department heads
- Review protocols, policies, procedures, and standards of practice to ensure compliance with Federal, SOTA, NCDHHS and, CARF requirements
- Schedule nursing/pharmacy staff
- Oversee and maintain medication inventory
- Monitor dosing area for accuracy and efficiency
- Review all inventory binders to ensure proper documentation of inventory
- Maintain 222 binder to ensure ongoing compliance
- Ensure nursing staff license is current
- Oversee inventory reconciliations as needed
The most qualified candidates will possess the following:
- Registered Nurse (RN) registered in the state of North Carolina
and graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- At least 5 years of experience as an RN

Constant mental alertness, attention to detail, and high degree of accuracy required in completing all assignments

Experience in the field of addictions is preferred but not necessary

Able to follow oral and written instructions and follow –through on all assignments
